| Adding Bids to the Priceline Hotel Database! |

We've tried to make the process of entering Priceline hotel bids into our winning bid database as simple and intuitive as possible! It really is as easy as it looks, but here is a little more information to ease your worries!   The 'Bid Type' field is a read-only field that indicates the type of Priceline bid you are opening; if demand for Priceline flights and Priceline rental cars continue to increase, we will expand the database to include both, which would change this field to a drop-down like many of the other fields. The 'Bid Status' field is used to determine whether or not your bid was accepted or rejected, so simple select the respective option for the bid you are entering!  The 'Submitted By' field acts as your electronic signature and is also a read-only field; this is used to maintain the integrity of the database and ensure that the Priceline bids we display in the tabular view are as accurate as possible. No abusive of the system will be tolerated! Bad information can lead to bad bids, something none of us want to do when trying to save some money! The 'Bid ($/night)' field is simply how much you bid per night for your Priceline hotel room. Do not enter "$" signs or ".oo" in this field! We have checks in place to ensure that these characters are not entered in the field, as these characters will interfere with the SQL taking place behind the scenes. Just entered your bid amount in whole dollars (e.g., 45,50,55,60,...) and leave the styling to us!  The 'Hotel Rating' selector is, well, where you select the Priceline hotel rating for which you bid (e.g., 1-star, 3-star, 3.5-star, ...).  Simply click on the little calendar icon to select the 'Check-In Date' you chose when placing your Priceline hotel bid. A small calendar popup will appear where you select the date you planned to check into your hotel.   Like the other fields, the '# of Nights' dropdown field should be self-explanatory; select the number of nights for which you bid!  The 'Hotel Name' field is an interactive field that is based on your 'Bid Status' selection, insofar as the field only appears when your bid was accepted; if your Priceline bid was not accepted, there is no need to present you with this field. So when you indicate that your bid was accepted, you must then enter in the proper name of the hotel. Please Note: Please enter the full and proper name given to this hotel by Priceline. Simply entering 'Holiday Inn' works and is acceptable, but if everyone entered the full and proper name, searching for a particular hotel would be more efficient and effective.  Simply put, please enter the city for which you bid in the 'City' field!  The 'State' field goes without saying...we think.  The 'Zone' field is the Priceline zone in which you bid for your hotel. Like the 'Hotel Name' field, please enter the full and proper zone name used by Priceline. Simply entering 'Airport' would work and is acceptable, but if everyone entered the full and proper zone name, searching for a particular hotel in each zone would be more efficient and effective. * Please Note: Only members of the BidLessTravel Priceline community can submit bids to the database, so if you are not a member, you will merely see a read-only version of the form!
