Priceline Tip: When changing the star level to rebid, you can work down, but not up: Start at 4*, then can add 3.5*, then 3*, then 2*, et al.

If, however, you begin your bidding for a 2*, all the higher star levels (i.e., 3*, 4*) will be greyed out, thereby limiting your rebids!

I always start with a LOW-odd number. Not all the time, but enough times, you can get the option to pay an additional $12 or $13 to bid that same bid again...(we all know you have to change your criteria if you get denied...or wait 24 hours to try again)...so you can shave at least a couple dollars off the cost doing that. With the hotel taxes, every bit helps.
